Our clients have a range of developmental disabilities and come to the SRCA to socialize, play and learn with old friends (and make new ones in the process).

Activities and Programs
SRCA is a place for people with disabilities to enjoy life. Activities are designed to respect each individual’s needs, their interests and their desire for either participation or quiet time. And more often than not, our volunteers share in the unbounded joy our participants create!

Online Virtual Camp

Seasonal Parties
We host a series of parties each year, fantastic opportunities for friends to get together and have fun. These stellar events offer music, dancing, entertainment, food and beverages. More than 200 donors and participants attend our events.
Fundraisers
Our fundraisers are opportunities for board members, staff, donors and participants to celebrate and support the life-enriching work we do at SRCA. What’s more, our annual fundraisers are fun-raisers, too!
Seasonal In-Person Camp and Respite Weekends
With our move to Shady Oaks we continue our tradition of great in-person camp programs (music, dance, summer concerts, swimming, art class, sports, etc), but also now offer paved and accessible wooded walking trails, a therapeutically heated swimming pool that will allow our campers to go swimming every day, outdoor accessible playground equipment, multiple heated and air conditioned dorms, each with their own accessible bath and shower facilities and attached decks for campers to hang out and relax, a modern recreation hall and dining hall, including an onsite chef serving world class meals, and 40 acres of outdoor space for campers to roam and enjoy. And of course, camp wouldn’t be camp without the ability to sing around the campfire, which they can do every day surrounded by a beautiful wooded area.
